Tour 18 next Tuesday

It should be a fun day on a new course for us . We have 20 players. Since it is a long course, we will all be playing from the front tees. We will play our modified Shamble on the front 9 and a shamble on the back nine.The first group out, led by Doug, will put out the CTP markers. Rodney's team will bring them in. The pairings are on our app or on playgolftuesday.com.

We will NOT have a shotgun start. Our first tee time is 8:10 and our last tee time is 8:50. Please be at Hole 1 at least 10 minutes ahead of your tee time. Please play ready golf keeping up the the group in front of you.

I had several requests for playing together and I tried to pair people up that like to play together.

If you cannot make it, please let me know. I have at least one person that wants to play, but can't.

Our goal is to have fun!

WindRose, next Tuesday, 6/30

We currently have 10 players signed up for the next ARGG gathering at WindRose next Tuesday. Still plenty of time to sign up on the website. The deadline to sign up is Sunday at 8p but if you miss it you can call or text me at the number below and I can most likely get you in.

The current weather forecast looks hot and dry, typical for Houston summertime. Hopefully with our 8a tee time we can beat most of the really serious heat.

I'm planning for us to play our normal games, our own ball on holes 10 - 18 and modified shamble on holes 1 - 9. Usual rules, putts may be conceded only if they are in the leather and just 2 mulligans per side per player.

Why Did We Go From $3 to $4??

Our team prize payouts should still be based on our continued $3 Individual contributions each week. Nothing changed, so why are we collecting $4 from everyone? The reason is ”continuity”…to ensue our group continues to be self-sustaining. It may come as a surprise to some but it costs money to have a website, an effective communication system, and CTP balls. For many years much of the expense was covered by individuals in the group who are now getting a bit advanced in age and fear the time may come when they can no longer participate actively in the group. To ensure that we continue going forward even as those people no longer participate we started collecting an extra dollar a week to cover expenses.

If you get called upon at lunch to distribute winnings to the lead teams, please base your calculations on the old $3 contribution and set aside the additional $1 for our treasurer.
