Amoco Rules and Format for the Day

Please Read.

Note: I have assigned a Jersey meadows player to each team in case there are any questions regarding the scoring format.

Note: Handicap strokes are not used for this format. They will be when determining the overall Low net player for the front nine.

New Format- As there has been interest in coming up with different Formats, I thought it would be nice to have today’s format set up similar to the Stableford format.

Jersey Meadows subgroup of the Senior Golf Association is referred to as the Hill Group, which has been using this format for over 20years.

Stableford format is based on the greatest number point wins. In the Hill Group format, the fewest number of points wins and is a lot easier to score.

You will notice that all the teams’ total handicap strokes are exactly balanced. Does not always work out evenly. Mr. Par or Ollie cannot be used in this format. Blinds need to be assigned.

Scoring as follows:

Use the best three scores for each hole.

Par = 0--

Bogie= 1pt. –

double bogie 2 pts

Tripple bogie = 3 pts. Amoco we only score up to triple.

Use the Lowest 3 scores

EG: Par 4- Golfer one Bogie = 1pt.

Golfer 2 par = 0 pt

Golfer 3 --double bogie = 2 pt

Total Pts for the hole 3 pts. Easy Peasy!!

Total the pts for a team total!

PAY OUT—1^ST PLACE $6.00 PER PLAYER ------ 2^ND PLACE $5.00 PER PLAYER.

The best LOW NET PLAYER for the front holes = $5.00-

RULES :

No Combo Holes – Senior tees 5,721 yards

Mulligans -2 per side per player - no carry over to the next side.

Putt out on the Front nine – Shamble inside inside the leather-

Shamble side the B and C players must use 2 drives.

This shall be an interesting Day!!

As of this morning we have 9 players signed up. I pretty sure most of you may be looking at the weather with the possibility of rain Tuesday 50%/Wednesday / 30%, which may change several times before Monday. As always, I would ask if you intend to play please sign up now. If at some point if you need to withdraw, just send me a text Monday night/Tuesday morning.

I will be holding off on the format until Tuesday Morning.

Jersey Meadows WEDNESDAY

Wednesday October 14th we are playing at Jersey Meadows. This will be the last time we play at Jersey Meadows this year. Next year, we were able to move back toTuesday’s. Three dates have already been confirmed.

Further details for next Wednesday will be forthcoming. MONDAY at 8 pm will be a hard cutoff.

A notice went out that I was unable to continue as a pairings coordinator. I felt after almost 10 years it was time srep away. Probably the timing was not great as we continue look for volunteers to step up. The pairings system Chuck has developed is pretty simple and far from time consuming. I would hope there is a couple members, maybe as a team, willing to step up in assisting with this pretty simple task. Think about it, you will set the format and the rules for the day!
